Timeline for Seawall Maintenenace and Repair Project
Timeline as of September 20th
Homeowners within the construction zone should remove all personal property that may be near the seawall including chairs, tables, beach umbrellas, snow fencing etc.
Week 1-September 22nd-September 25th
September 22nd: Staging at Lot 141 Puffin Ln: staging site preparations, signage placement, sensitive habitat designation and pre-construction finalization.
September 23rd: Heavy equipment transportation to the staging area of Lot 141. Street parking will be limited on Puffin Lane for trailer arrival. Signage will be posted.
September 24th and 25th: Begin beach work with rock excavation Houses 55, 54 and 15 and 12.
Week 2- September 29th-October 2nd:
Begin rock excavation and placement-Lots 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 &4.
Week 3- October 6th-October 9th:
Begin rock excavation and placement -Lots 1-3, 107 and 100-103
Week 4- October 14th-October 17th: (Holiday on Monday, working on Friday)
Begin rock excavation and placement -Lots 96-99
Week 5- October 20th-October 23rd:
Finalize rock excavation and placement. Finalize stair reconstructions.
Demobilization dates will be finalized soon.
Work Days: M-Th 8am to 5pm (plus Friday October 17th) and 2 holidays are non workdays-October 13th and November 11th.
Beach access stairs within the construction zones may be closed and/or replaced with no more than 2 inaccessible at one time.
Beach egress will remain open during construction with the exception of extra high tides or temporary equipment movements. A spotter will be on-site throughout the project to direct foot traffic as needed but please be extra vigilant of your surroundings in these areas.
