Timeline for Seawall Repair Project

Construction on the seawall has picked up pace and it is anticipated the beach work will be concluded by the end of this week-October 9th.    If any final demobilization is needed then that will be next Tuesday October 14th since the 13th is a holiday.  

 

Homeowners within the construction zone should remove all personal property that may be near the seawall including chairs, tables, beach umbrellas, snow fencing etc.  

 

The project excavation plan has shifted and it is anticipated that there will continue to be construction activity in front of H98-102 throughout the project.   

 

Timeline: 

Week 1-September 22nd-September 25th

September 22nd:  Staging was completed.  

 

September 23rd:  Heavy equipment arrived and was staged at H141 on Puffin Lane.  Equipment was deployed on the Bech and they began excavating for the rock located on the State Beach.   

 

September 24th and 25th: Further excavation of rock at H102-99 to create stockpile. Rock excavation and stacking at H55, H54 and H15.
 

Week 2- September 29th-October 2nd:

Construction went smoothly and rock excavation and placement continued-Lots 1-11 and 98-103.

 

Week 3- October 6th-October 9th:

Finalize rock placement at Lots 95-99.  Anticipate demobilization by Thursday September 9th.  

 

Week 4- October 14th-October 17th: (Holiday on Monday, working on Friday)

No expected beach work.  Some final demobilization at H141, if necessary.
